Top 100 Financial Market YouTube Channels by Subscriber Count

If we examine the data closely, we can draw inferences by comparing the subscriber count to the number of videos published on a channel.  Ray Dalio, with his just over 3 million subscribers, has published 556 videos. Andrei Jikh, although he has nearly as many subscribers as Ray Dalio, has published almost double the amount of videos, with 1049. Some of the other big channels are Economics Explained with 2.82 million subscribers, with only 412 videos published, and ClearValue Tax with 2.78 million subscribers, which has far fewer videos at just 156

Although these subscriber accounts are reasonably close in number at the top, there's considerable dispersion in the number of videos published. The argument that the more videos you publish, the higher the subscriber count will be cannot be made, as ClearValue Tax clearly shows with far less videos and a very high subscriber count. Publishing large quantities of videos alone does not guarantee that your subscriber count will increase. It's the old expression "quality not quantity" that most likely counts. Or perhaps it could be the particular niche that the videos cover could play an important role in attracting subscribers. At the other end of the scale, a channel like Meet Kevin has over 6,000 videos published but only just over 2 million subscribers, which in itself is a substantial number of subscribers. 

However, we shouldn't read too much into these results because there will be many factors at play that contribute to subscriber count. Certainly a well-known personality would have a lot more subscribers than a lesser-known content creator, regardless of all else being equal.
