How We Select Videos
We track a curated list of YouTube channels that focus on financial markets, trading, investing, macroeconomics, and personal finance. Channels are selected based on:
- Relevance to financial markets and investing topics
- Consistent publishing schedule
- Substantive content (not purely promotional)
We do not include channels based on payment or sponsorship. Inclusion does not imply endorsement of a creator's views or recommendations.
How We Track Content
Our system continuously monitors tracked channels for new video uploads. When a new video is published:
- Detection: We detect new videos within hours of publication
- Categorization: Videos are tagged with relevant topics based on title and content analysis
- Performance Tracking: We track engagement metrics over time to identify standout content
Rankings & Metrics
We display momentum rankings and performance metrics for channels and videos. These are calculated using proprietary algorithms based on publicly available data (views, likes, publishing frequency).
For detailed information about how rankings work and what they do (and do not) represent, see our Rankings Methodology page.
Editorial Standards
Our approach to content curation:
- We aim to maintain a neutral, analytical perspective
- Views expressed in videos remain those of the original creators, not FinanceTubeWatch
- We do not provide financial advice or investment recommendations
- Content is for educational and informational purposes only
Limitations
Please be aware of the following limitations:
- Timeliness: There may be a delay between when a video is published and when it appears on our site.
- Coverage gaps: We do not cover all financial YouTube content—only channels in our tracked list.
- Accuracy: While we strive for accuracy, always verify information with original sources.
